Fritz Holdings Inc. wholly owns two operating companies—a Precast Plant and a construction services company.
Western Ontario Precast Inc. is a precast concrete manufacturer that specializes in several lines of concrete products: panels and floors for use in the construction of agricultural, commercial and industrial buildings; high density insulating bricks for use in nuclear reactors; containers for the storage of nuclear waste; concrete transformer pads for wind turbines; and slats for use in animal barns.
Fritz Construction Services Inc. is a general construction company and general contractor which undertakes projects utilizing Western Ontario Precast’s products and, as necessary, poured concrete and other types of building products. Construction services projects include: Commercial, Condominiums, and Agricultural.
Our Operations
Both companies operate from a facility located on 9.6 acres in the hamlet of Chepstow, Ontario, which is approximately 12 kilometres northwest of Walkerton, Ontario.
Fritz has 24 direct employees and 15 major subcontractors who provide welding, electrical, plumbing, and engineering and architecture, steel erection and framing services.
Creative Problem Solving
Time after time Fritz has had to find a cost effective way to solve an expensive problem. How do you flip a 25 ton container to work on it and then flip it back? Fritz figured a way to do this on site with the equipment on hand.
Tom Fritz personally pioneered the sandwich wall construction method, which is now recognized as the standard in agricultural building. Tom took this one step farther and now is able to supply controlled atmosphere buildings for use with vegetable and fruit storage such as potato and apples.
